Armenta's budget mysteriously doubled

Back when Governor Susana Martinez was still complaining publicly about administrative bloat in the APS, she indicated upset over the fact that APS was spending $440,565 in their communications department, link.

The APS School Board will hear a presentation tonight from tonight Don Moya. He is listed on the agenda, link, as the Districts Chief Academic Officer, though he is actually the district's Chief Financial Officer.

He will present a "Listing of APS Departments by Function".

If you print the PDF, and then find a magnifying glass to see the
fine print, the document includes;

Communications (department)
Links the community and the school district by providing accurate and timely communication, resource development and quality service in support of success for all students.
Approved FY 2011 budget $919,952
FY 2011 FTE 8 .00
The apparent discrepancy (>100%) will likely go unnoticed by
the establishment media including the Journal, which will have
a reporter in the room.

Nor will they investigate and
report upon the bald-faced lie
regarding Armenta's efforts to
provide "accurate and timely
communication" with interest
holders, link.

Good Gawd! I'm dying to know what they fed Martinez, to get her to go away & get off their back. I was interested to see Robbins on the news last night say he's not happy they just hired someone from outside, for $80,000.
