Bullying victims have no voice in establishment media

The alleged bully and strong arm robber and his lawyers had opportunities to speak to the press.  APS administrators and their lawyers had opportunities.  Where is the opportunity for victims of practicing bullies in the APS, to have their side published?

In fairness, the victim in this particular case was afforded the opportunity to offer the obligatory; it didn't hurt.  But what about other students at the school who have had their property stolen, who have has their faces slapped and worse, and it didn't make the news?  Where do they get to tell their story?

Whether the investigative reporters from the Journal, KRQE, KOAT, and KOB interview other students depends in part on whether APS allows them access to students.

But not much. They could always interview students at the curb.

Mostly it depends on whether they care to interview students about bullying at school. Their record is one of ongoing complicity and complacency in the cover up of bullying and other student discipline problems in the APS.

Suppose for the sake of argument that I am wrong; Rio Grande High School is unique in its ability to curtail bullying.  Why wouldn't that be even more newsworthy?  The truth is, it would be, and if that were the case, they would be doing the story in a heartbeat.

It isn't "news" unless someone is victimized by the bully first and the media second. Not to mention the blatant misinformation they use to get ratings or sell newspapers. Yellow journalism is alive and well.

In our basic human nature, we can catch ourselves subconciously, or conciously, thinking of the bully as a "chicken-shit" and the bully as "someone I'd rather be".
In American society, we have an empathy and understanding of the "underdog", but we also love the TV bullies and "strong iron-fisted men" that come along.
Think of it... why are so many women hot for the prison and gang guys? Americans love the bully.... unfortunately.

This finally proves what every teacher in APS knows, sweep it under the rug and it didn't happen. Now, who you going to believe, APS or your lying eyes. I guarantee you that is La Washa's campus!

A criminal complaint has been filed with APD by a high school administrator who was assaulted by an APS parent at a recent high school boys basketball game. Even though the assault was witnessed and documented by APS police officers and security personnel, APS is not pursuing any action against the offender. Could it be because the offender happens to be the spouse of a UNM assistant men's basketball coach? Or could it be because the victim is already suing Brooks for sexual harassment and retaliation?. Either way, the victim turned to APD for help since APS refuses to help her. An assault on a school employee is a fourth-degree felony in New Mexico. I can't wait to see how APS and its "stellar" communication department will spin the truth to the media that soon will be knocking on their door.

I don't think so. APS has the Modrall law firm attack dogs on standby for this. APS security are former APD. Marty Esquivel doesn't think women are equals so you won't get any sympathy from him.
