Journal reporter encourages voting before the forum

What could easily be the biggest and most important APS school board forum is yet to take place.  Nevertheless, Journal education reporter Hailey Heinz is encouraging voters to join her in voting before the forum, link.  Are they afraid something might happen at the forum that might hurt the incumbents?

She also informs us that the Journal will be publishing its candidate questionnaires next week.  What do you want to bet that among the questions you will not find;

  1. If you are elected to the school board, will you hold yourself honestly accountable to the same standards of conduct that you establish and enforce upon students?
  2. Are the Pillars of Character Counts! that standard, or will you seek to lower those standards in open and honest public discussion of standards and accountability in the APS?
Just to be fair, I have sent the following to Ms Heinz
Ms Heinz,

Realizing that the Journal questionnaire has already been sent out to the candidates, I am wondering if there is any good and ethical reason that the Journal questionnaire (process) could not include the following two questions;
  1. If you are elected to the school board, will you hold yourself honestly accountable to the same standards of conduct that you establish and enforce upon students?
  2. Are the Pillars of Character Counts! that standard, or will you seek to lower those standards in open and honest public discussion of standards and accountability in the APS?
Grateful for your time and attention
