Brooks' golden parachute on the agenda.

There was a school board meeting scheduled for today.
It was to have begun at 5pm and would have been webcast.
There would have been a public forum.

That meeting was canceled and a "Special" meeting was
scheduled to take its place.

The Special meeting starts at 4 pm, well before any interest
holders get off work. It will not be webcast or even video-
taped. There is no public forum.

On the new agenda, link, a meeting in secret from the
public in which APS Supt Winston Brooks' performance
will be evaluated.

As soon as they come out of the meeting in secret, they
will "consider" "... Contract Revisions for the Albuquerque
Public Schools Superintendent (Discussion/Action).

They are going to extend his contract until 2014.

They are going to reward Brooks for his ongoing efforts to
hide the Caswell Report on corruption in the APS Police
Department, and sparing them all the embarrassment of
the truth being told.

Though two new board members were elected, it will be a
done deal before they take their seats on the board.

The Journal can be expected to stand foursquare behind the
ongoing cover up.
