APS Bond/Mill Levy Election

“Putting the health and safety of APS students and staff first”
profess the leadership of the APS in defense of their upcoming bond issue and mill levy.

Just how safe are students and staff. Just how safe are school board members and senior administrators?

The overwhelming majority of students and staff go to work in gun free zones; known colloquially as “soft targets”.

At any hour of the night and day and on any day of the week, there is no “harder” target than the twin towers at 6400 Uptown Blvd link.

There is no square foot in the entire APS covered by more security cameras manned by more people carrying badges and guns. APS has in house, a publicly funded private police force. Not a police department; a police “force”; uncertified, uncertificated, and unaccountable to anyone except school board members and senior administrators.

That to this day, there has not been a candid, forthright and honest accounting of the spending at 6400 Uptown Blvd, should give voters pause. Audits at the time revealed;
• inadequate standards,
• inadequate accountability to such standards as there were, and
• inadequate record keeping.
The trifecta of public corruption and all the lawyers, litigation and legal weaselry that (taxpayer) money can buy.

Nothing has changed.

Unless and until the leadership of the APS can demonstrate that they are
honest to God accountable to meaningful standards
of conduct and competence within their public service,
vote NO on every bond issue and mill levy until they can and do.
