APS School Board officers still a mystery

It is puzzling to say the least, that APS' $750K a year "communications" effort is yet to communicate who is the new school board president, vice president and secretary.   The various committee chairs were also elected at the regular school board meeting last Wednesday and also remain unannounced.

One wonders, why?

Isn't this exactly the kind of information that we are paying APS Executive Director of Communications Monica Armenta $107K a year to be communicating?

Maybe the information will show up in her next APS calendar.

Isn't it shocking that Armenta who holds a B.A. makes twice the salary of a teacher with 20 years of experience and a Ph.D?

Hopefully when APS is done with Brooks, a true educator will replace Armenta. How hard will it be to do her job? How hard will it be for a new person to say, "APS does not comment on personnel matters?" Or, "APS does not comment on pending litigation." It's time to clean house in APS' communications department.

there are NM state requirements for School Board elections and procedures that they are required to follow. Perhaps a state-level grievance is in order?

The truth will become obvious at the next board meeting, long before any grievance would be adjudicated.

As for filing complaints against - it's a waste of time, like trying to teach a pig to sing; it only wastes your time and annoys the pig.
