Is State Auditor Hector Balderas bluffing?

State Auditor, Hector Balderas, said that, given the resources, he could audit the spending of tax dollars so closely, as to make it impossibly difficult to steal money and expect not to be found out.

Is he bluffing?
I don't think so; for two
reasons. He was looking
me in the eye
when he said it, and
it makes perfect sense.


There is nothing unbelievable about the premise.

Clearly, if there were ongoing forensic auditing of spending,
if it were impossibly difficult to steal without being caught,
there would be no more corrupt spending.

I would urge any "real" political "journalists" to call Balderas' bluff, if that's what they think it is. Otherwise, I would urge them to give some attention to his plan to end the culture of corruption.
