The terms of public service are the prerogative of the public. Fundamental among those terms; public servants are accountable to the public, and to meaningful standards of conduct and competence, at least for the eight measly hours a day that we have to "trust" them with the control over our power and our resources.
Strictly speaking, that was a comment by the architect's attorney.

Didn't he learn in High School that peer pressure leads you to crappy places? Of all excuses!
ReplyDeleteThe "mob" leaning on him, I could understand. Government officials threatening his licenses and contracts, I could somewhat understand.
This coward got his cut. If he was scared or pressured, then he shouldn't have taken a "cut", or pull a Denish and given it to charity.

In the short time in prison he'll cry too; and all his problems will be behind him. His "problems" will be some fat hairy guy calling him "girlfriend"
