I would have sworn that the budget that the board passed
the other night, did not still include the website funding,
but apparently it did, and Monica Armenta's increased
budget doesn't sit well with Journal editors this morning,

The terms of public service are the prerogative of the public. Fundamental among those terms; public servants are accountable to the public, and to meaningful standards of conduct and competence, at least for the eight measly hours a day that we have to "trust" them with the control over our power and our resources.
Well maybe if the Journal did some investigative reporting... Oh yeah, that's not the way they roll. Kick Backs anyone?
ReplyDeleteOf course an item like this will be carefully documented, RFPs will be widely publicized, an unbiased committee will scrutinize each for deliverables, timelines, and ways to avoid any appearances of conflicts of interest or "insider trading" and a quality product will be delivered on time and under budget.

I was at this meeting too and could have sworn that they voted it down, Percy was very against it also. Oh for some sunshine!
