There is a pathological fear in APS of rocking the boat, doing anything a better way(including cheaper, more efficient, better documented, etc...) & MOST especially, coming up with any inovation for which your bosses can't claim credit.

Fear of retaliation permeates the entire culture of APS.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32800006.post-13830930440634773442009-04-15T07:07:00.000-06:002009-04-15T07:07:00.000-06:00I also can attest to the fear of retaliation. Have even written letters of support for my childrens teachers when the Union sat on their hands and just told them they should move schools.

Yes it is real, and still goes on every day. A kid accuses a teacher of anything, 10 other kids can testify that whatever never happened, and yet, the teacher gets written up.

Teachers are like mothers. Remember the old adage, If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. And one of Winston's big 8, improving APS's image, is gonna suffer if mama ain't happy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32800006.post-36378585987993261682009-04-14T16:01:00.000-06:002009-04-14T16:01:00.000-06:00I,too , am an APS instructor. It's here! I know!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
